Snapdragon Processor, Snapdragon 801
Snapdragon is one of the greatest inventions of Qualcomm. It is a platform that can be used in mobiles especially in advanced mobile phones like Smartphone, tablets etc. This technology is nothing but family of mobile SoC. SoC stands for systems on a chip. Snapdragon has now modified several times but the original version was designed by Qualcomm. Almost all the Snapdragon chipsets are consisted with a circuitry that is very much able to decode any high definition video. Very recently Snapdragon 801 was introduced. The 801 processor was first published on 24th of February in 2014. Couple of changes have been made in this processor over Snapdragon 800 processor.
Snapdragon 801 processor can be clocked higher than its previous variant. A new technology has been introduced in this processor that is eMMC 5.0 support. This technology has allowed the Snapdragon 801 processor to handle transfer rate up to 400 MB/s. The quad core Krait CPU has been used that can be clocked up to 2.5 GHz. If this chip is used in a mobile then the battery of the device can be charged 75% faster. This is possible due to quick charge 2.0 integration in Snapdragon 801 processor. The Snapdragon 801 processor provides energy efficient mobile device.
