Apache Mesos is an ambitious project taken up by various researchers on the web. It aims to provide better ways to give services and infrastructure for cloud computing. It has many big names like Twitter, eBay, Netflix associated with it. It is one of the most interesting projects in the recent times. Hence, it has garnered lots of press. Mesos is very similar to the Linux kernel. It runs on various machines and provides an excellent service for applications on the cloud. It provides a rich set of APIs to give various facilities to developers to deploy their applications.
