Remote support software

I wanted remote support software for connecting to my friends desktop when they are away. Our project requires a lot of collaboration even when we are developing different modules individually. Can you suggest some good remote support software?

I can recommend you two methods which I use frequentlry.
1. Microsoft RDP or MSTSC

On Windows you have a built in RDP software, this can be opened by running "mstsc" a run prompt. (MicroSoft Terminal Service Client)

2. Team Viewer

Team Viewer is another remote collaboration software, where you can share your screen with others or you can get access to remote desktop. This is a completely free for educational requirements.

For online project collaboration, also there are web based software development service
