Non Destructive Testing seminar report, abstract

Non Destructive Testing, an introduction
We can calculate the properties of a material or component without causing damage to them. The technique which is used is called on destructive testing analysis. It is widely used in science and industry. It has various names such as non destructive evaluation or non destructive inspection. The main advantage of using this technique is that, you can save money and time while evaluating. NDT analysis is used in various fields of engineering such as mechanical engineering, civil engineering, electrical engineering and many more. To examine samples, we take into considerations the properties of the material. They also depend upon the technique of electromagnetic radiation.

The external surface is analyzed using microscopy. Electromagnetic radiations are used to examine inside the sample. They penetrate into the sample. Ultrasonic testing can be done by taking the help of sound. Non destructive testing analysis has various applications. It is used to verify weld. Two or more metals can easily be joined with the help of welds. Accidents may occur if these encounters are not joined properly. Various techniques such as industrial CT scanning are used to test welds using NDT techniques. Some other applications are radiography in medicine, power plants, construction and many more.

We prepared and published this seminar abstract for final year engineering students seminar research. You should do your own research additional to this information before presenting your seminar.
