Hello and Welcome to my introduction thread. In this thread you will learn a little bit about me, my alias', my education, my goals for the future, as well as get to preview some of my latest works.
Alias':
Around the internet I've been known by a several different names. Some of these names include: Teg, Integrity, Teg-Ready, Chukk, Chukkles, Amanda, baybgurl, and FinallyThere.
Bio:
My real name is Amanda Z. I'm 26 years old. I'm a mom of three beautiful children age ranges from 1 1/2 to 5 years, two girls and a boy. We lost one of our girls on the fourth of July last year :(. I currently work as a freelance Graphic Designer from my home while going to school full time.
I got married in April of this year and on May 1, 2013, my husband and I bought our very first house. It was very very exciting for us. It's kind of out in the middle of nowhere, which is where we like to be. We personally don't have any animals of our own, but we sort of adopted my sisters German Shepard for a time.
I'm an avid World of Warcraft player and it's one of the only games that I like to play. On Monday nights I throw darts for a Dart league and our team placed first the season before last and third this past season. Out of 38 teams, that's quite an accomplishment.
How I got started:
I got started with graphic and web design back in 2003. I was about 12-13 years old at the time. School was out for the summer and I pulled a lot of late nighters doing absolutely nothing. One day I came across a website called Solid Snake Designs (doesn't exist any more). This website was both a website and a forum community. Their community had thousands of active members sharing and learning the art of Graphic Design. The designs were simply amazing and I thought to myself "I have to learn how to do this."
So, after joining the site I was able to see several tutorials on how to design graphics and with different programs. I downloaded a free trial of Photoshop and it was on like Donkey Kong after that. I've been designing graphics and themes ever since.
Education:
I'm currently attending Kaplan University (Online) College. I'm seeking my Associates of Applied Science in Information Technology with a Graphic and Web Development career focus. I'm in a fast track program which allows me to go for my Bachelor's Degree while getting my Associates. My Bachelor's degree will be in Information Technology, Graphic and Web Development and Network Administration. This is my first year of college.
