BioDiesel seminar report, abstract

Biodiesel - A Boon To The World
Tomorrow world becomes the bio world and it has its application in all industries. It is a vegetable oil mostly . Some biodiesel is from animal fat. It should have an alkyd. It is made by the reaction between the lipids and alcohol. It is specially used for diesel engines. It can also be used alone or it can be used by mixing with the petrol or diesel. It can used for all types of engines. It can be used in vehicular use, railway usage, heating oil, cleaning oil. Use of biodiesel leads to the reduction of CO2 emission.

Characteristics of Biodiesel:
  • Biodiesel is low in sulfur
  • It has high lubricity
  • It is fast biodegradability
  • It can be recycled

Biodiesel also used in agriculture and also as the lubricant oil. It is highly energy security. It can extract from various things such as jatropa, fungi, pongamia, algal, etc. It also extracts from the used coffee grounds. It is less air pollutants. It is very safe to handle. It is biodegradable and nontoxic. The use of biodiesel reduces the green house effects. The main advantage of this is its viscosity which is very suitable for the lubrication. It doesnt affect the engine performance.
