Studying abroad for higher education is an ambition for students realizes the power of higher education and identify unique potential advantageous. Study loans for students aspiring abroad study is a great service offered from most of the commercial banks in India. Education Loans have become very popular today when the number of students prefers to go abroad for higher education. Most popular banks like HDFC, PNB, SBI India that provide study loans to the higher education aspirants.
Study Loans for Students from various Indian Banks
HDFC Bank provides student loan for abroad, but it is not collateral free. However the collateral limits are widened. For the applicants who need the loan of more than 7.5 lacs have to keep some collateral security with the bank. There are wider options like Residential property, HDFC Bank Fixed Deposit, LIC, NSC and KVP from which you can select something to keep as collateral. Punjab National Bank also provides education loans for abroad and there are some eligibility criteria for getting the loan. If the applicant applies for a study loan of up to 4.00 lacs then there is no need of collateral security.
However if the amount is between 4.00 lacs and 7.5 lacs then collateral security in the form of suitable third party guarantee will be taken. Loan of above 7.5 lacs will require some tangible security collaterals. State Bank of India also provides loan for education in abroad and if the applicant applies for loan less than 4.0lacs there is no need of collateral security. For amounts between 4 lacs and 7.5 lacs third party guarantee is needed but can be replaced with Parent/Guardian as co-borrower if the Gross annual income of the parent/guardian according to the latest Income Tax return is triple the amount of loan. Loan of the above 7.7 lacs needs some tangible collateral security.
