Laser Technology, Free-Electron Laser, Technology Seminar Report Abstract

Free electron laser is one kind of laser that depends on free electrons. High speed free electrons available in any magnetic structure are used by this laser. The frequency range of free electron laser is the widest. The tenability is also available for this laser is also very wide. The name was first given in 1976 by Mr John Madey. To generate or produce free electron laser you need to accelerate beams of electrons to the highest possible speed that almost equals to the speed of light. These high speed electrons pass through a magnetic field. There are several other steps to develop free electron lesser. It actually requires a very large facility to produce free electron laser

The use of this laser is also very wide like its frequency. It is very widely used in medical science as well as in the military services. There are several small surgeries like fat removal are now done using this free electron laser. This is also used in several other small surgeries, especially on soft tissues. The navy of US has used this technology for developing anti aircraft as well as a weapon for guiding missiles. The impact of this laser is outstanding and you cannot actually ignore its power nowadays.
