Airtel is joining with IRCTC for bringing up Ticket booking facility using mobile phone! More than ticket booking facility, this also provides railway station search, train availability, PNR status inquiry and query other information using USSD system code *400# without paying (this will be free).
To use this facility, one should have an Airtel Money express account and an IRCTC registration. When we book through this, an SMS will be sent from IRCTC and which can be used during the journey along with a an ID proof. Airtel money is a service available in all major cities in India and IRCTC registration is free. IRCTC-Airtel money ticket booking facility is available from today (July 1).
