How does chromecast technology work? A technology walkthrough for your seminar.

Chromecast is a device developed by Google and it is used as a digital media player. It is a 72 mm long dongle. This dongle helps to play audio or video streaming in television of high definition quality. It uses WiFi or local internet connection. This device is required to plug in the HDMI port of the television.

The HDMI dongle comes with 2.4GHZ wireless radio frequency to communicate with mobile phones and tablets. It does not run on battery. It comes with a micro USB cable and an adapter for source of energy. This device will be able to provide an integration of services using different sources.

It can fetch video from the iPhone as well as from the Nexus 4. Once the data is transferred to the dongle can be used for other requirements. Almost all the web and mobile applications are compatible with this tiny HDMI wireless dongle. There is an option to manage the contents of the device and using android phones or any iPhone you will be able to track the contents. Chromecast works as an integrator through which you will be able to use services from different service providers like youtube, netfix etc. The dongle itself does not affect the quality of the content it depends on the source itself.

We prepared and published this seminar abstract for final year engineering students seminar research. You should do your own research additional to this information before presenting your seminar.
